Tickets may be purchased online at www.theballetcenter.org, by telephone by calling 631-737-1964 during business hours, or at select local merchants in Islip.

Simply type KEEP ISLIP CLEAN in the the Ordering Instructions box or mention KEEP ISLIP CLEAN when ordering tickets by telephone or in person. Every full-priced ticket purchased with the KEEP ISLIP CLEAN request will be divided evenly between Keep Islip Clean and The Ballet Long Island Scholarship Fund.

The donation will be presented to Keep Islip Clean during a performance on December 8. The Nutcracker has been performed each year in Islip since 1985 by Ballet Long Island’s professional dancers from around the world joined by apprentice dancers and students selected through a stringent audition process.

Keep Islip Clean is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to a clean, beautiful and litter-free Islip Township. KIC supports thousands of volunteers who work all year on a variety of projects, including the Adopt-A-Highway program, Great American Cleanup, International Coastal Cleanup, the KIC Clean Team and countless community group projects. The organization also provides education on the importance of a clean community through its KIC Curriculum.

This past year has seen record numbers of volunteers doing their good work through all 18 hamlets of Islip and now many groups are extending their efforts to help with the effects of Hurricane Sandy. KIC provides volunteers with trash bags, gloves, safety vests and other cleanup supplies.

 Funds are now needed to replenish supplies so crucial to all volunteer efforts.Ballet Long Island is a non-profit dance organization with a school, professional ballet company and theater company. Ballet Long Island’s mission is to make dance available and affordable to everyone.

 All funds go back into the community with  scholarships and low tuition fees. In addition to The Nutcracker, Ballet Long Island presents professional classical, modern and original dance works throughout the year.
