Rothman's Gallery in Southold will be having a Gallery opening reception for John Wisseman who has had a long career as painter, printmaker, and teacher of art. Also on display in the gallery will be works by Stacy Brandfon and Ron Rothman both of whom have studied with Wisseman at different times his teaching career. A teacher since 1953, he was adjunct professor at Southampton College, Long Island University, where Stacy studied with him and at Southold Union Free School, where Ron took art classes with him. He has been an inspiration to numerous artists, along with a whole generation of Southold Students, who had him as an Art teacher.
