In the United States, cancer remains the leading cause of death amongst children under the age of 15 years old. In 2012 alone, the American Cancer Society estimated that there were about 12,500 children diagnosed with cancer. Within 12 months of being diagnosed, approximately 1,340 of those children will lose their battle with this disease. Childhood cancer rates have been rising slightly for the past few decades.                 The good news is, it is people like you and I that can help!
