
In a 2012 live review, the SF Weekly praised Phish’s “undeniably infectious appeal,” noting: “a live Phish show is a wholly unique experience…Songs like ‘Possum,’ ‘Tweezer,’ and perennial fan favorite ‘Run Like An Antelope’ were positively thrilling rides of sonic confluence” while the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette observed: “the lawn was absolutely packed -- the usual turnout -- and it was difficult to find anybody who wasn't having the time of his life.” “[The] quartet still has the ability to surprise…The Hollywood Bowl has rarely been as ebullient as it was on Monday,” said the Los Angeles in a review of a sold-out 2011 show. Rolling Stone recently named Phish as one of “The New Immortals” – current bands that the magazine predicts “will stand the test of time.”
