The Philippine Consulate General of New York, Pilipino American Unity for Progress, and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations are proud to host the first ever New York Metropolitan Area Philippine Graduation Ceremony. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m.The Philippine Graduation Ceremony, known as P-Grad, has been a tradition for many years in colleges and universities along the West Coast with high Filipino American student populations.Now, we would like to begin this tradition to the East Coast and the New York Metropolitan Area with an inaugural ceremony right here in the home of Filipinos and Filipino Americans in New York, with remarks from the Consul General the Honorable Mario Lopez De Leon, Jr and the president of Seton Hall University, Dr. A. Gabriel Esteban.Space will be reserved for the first 50 graduating undergrad, graduate and doctorate students of the region to apply, with two guests invited to attend at no cost. Graduates will be asked to attend dressed in their school's academic regalia.
