Using self care, meditation, group activities, interactive workshops, and personal reflection we harness the life force energy of Love to reopen sacred spaces in our consciousnesses and fertile places in our lives. She is the author of When the Spirits Dance Mambo and Altar of My Soul The Living Traditions of Santeria. Moreno Vega has also produced two documentaries on African belief systems. She is the Madrina/Godmother and spiritual guide of Ile Odufora Ajaguna. WORKSHOP: BALANCING SPIRIT AND LIFE- Participants will explore how to acknowledge your spirituality as integral to all aspects of your life roles is essential to maximizing your potential. Participants are to bring a journal and pen/pencil and be prepared to go through discussions and steps to determine the aspects that need to be re-directed.
Gloria Rodriguez, Certified Spiritual Life Coach and Professor of Psychology is the Founder and Director of DeAlmas Women’s Institute, a community-based organization launched in 1998. She is an award winning author of You Are More Than Good Enough. Gloria was initiated as priestess of Oshun in 2003 in the Yoruba-Luckumi system.WORKSHOP: FIERCE-HEARTED LOVE- This experiential workshop will focus on the feminine spiritual energy of Oshun – the goddess of love, beauty, compassion, prosperity, and sweetness that is our essential and fierce woman-nature. Through meditation, ritual, affirmative prayer, and creative exercises, we experience our inner waters of self-love, bedazzling beauty, and healing hearts.
Angela Fontanez is an elder priestess in the Yoruba tradition. She is a two-time Emmy award- winning journalist and educator. For over four decades she has been on a definitive spiritual path as a practicing medium working with individuals and groups doing spiritual consultations, life coaching and workshops. WORKSHOP: SPIRIT GROUNDING- Through our relationship with Spirit, we become powerful, grounded and able to sustain deeper loving relationships. This workshop will guide the participants through a series of conversations, activities and reflections, designed to help each individual gain insights into their ancestral background as a means of connecting with Spirit to create and support positive loving relationship with self and others. Darmone Holland, B.S., CMT, Classical Homeopath is a renowned Dance, Fitness and Yoga Instructor, Holistic Health Practitioner and Wellness Consultant for over 20 years. She was initiated in 2003 as a Lucumi Priestess of Obatala WORKSHOP: AFRICAN YOGIC CHAKRA DANCE™- Participants will explore a powerful and unique method of achieving health and well being for the mind, body through African dance movements, breathing exercises, guided meditations and yoga postures that heal and balance the Chakras.
