What You Will Learn This workshop class will cover all the knife basics. First, we’ll show you the ins-and-outs of what many consider to be a chef's most important tool. You'll not only master basic knife skills and the fundamental cuts for vegetables (mince, dice, brunoise, bâtonnet and julienne) but we will also show you how to maintain your knife’s sharpness using different sharpening techniques and tools, including a sharpening stone. Finally, we'll talk about you how to select the right knife for any job, and you will leave class with the knowledge of how to safely use and then keep all of your knives sharp and well-maintained.
*Class Bonus: Included with the class price, each student will receive a 3.5-inch paring knife (a $89 value) that's razor sharp and ready for work and a sharpening stone, (a $79.95 value).
