Athena Manzella ...HIKING LEADER..6 YEARS WITH MY GROUP...
I SHARE ALL THE BEAUTY WITH EVERYONE ON ALL THE HIKING TRAILS ALL OVER LONG ISLAND,(NASSAU, SUFFOLK, QUEENS AREA)
September 29th, 6:30 a.m.- 7-pm (FROM COLD SPRING HARBOR STATE PARK (HUNTINGTON,LI) TO MASSAPEQUA,LI OUT AND BACK) 44 MILES
MY GROUP AND I ARE HIKING 44 miles AND STEPPING OUT TO STOP DIABETES...first time ever done on LI.
I Hike because 5 years ago I decided anything worth doing is absolutely worth doing on foot..(32+ miles under my belt)..that decision, sparked a passion in me to extensively explore the fantastic world of nature. I deeply enjoy adding awareness of the natural world...I often yearn for a break to recharge my spirit. With the aim to venture into the wilderness to find my wisdom....Here is my opportunity to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. I am committed to HIKE 44 miles. In this inspirational and motivational event not because 26 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because I personally know some of them, and I want to do something about it. I truly appreciate your support. Together we can Stop Diabetes!
