For weeks CBS has been promoting showing Billy Joel’s 100th MSG Residency show. Because “The Masters” ran late, so did the start of CBS’ new show “Tracker,” which led to Billy’s concert starting about 30 minutes late.
Normally, when TV networks air sporting events that run late, the news runs later. Not last night. During ‘Piano Man’ they cut off the end to air the news.
If you didn’t stay up or watch at all, here’s what the mess looked liked:

Viewers throughout the Eastern and Central Time Zones had the broadcast of the Billy Joel concert cut off, mid-Piano Man.
