What Residents Need to Know

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Shaffer Calls Devastation to Local Area “Our Katrina” as FEMA Sets Up Mobile Unit 

Who:  Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer is available throughout the day to provide updates pertaining to the following:

FEMA: Residents and business owners affected by the super-storm must first contact their insurance company. They can then register with FEMA through their website at http://www.disasterassistance.gov/ or calling them directly at 1-800-621-3362

Red Cross Shelter: The Red Cross shelter at Robert Frost Middle School (450 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park) remains open for the foreseeable future.

Price Gouging: Suffolk County has set up a hotline to report price gouging at 1-800-909-5423.

Charging Stations: Babylon Town Hall (200 E Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst) and the Babylon Town Hall Annex (281 Phelps Lane, North Babylon) have cell phone charging stations open to the public. WiFi connections are also available.
