Less than 2 weeks after the Allman Brothers riveting performance at the Hep C Awareness benefit at the Beacon Theater, Gregg Allman has canceled the remainder of his summer tour because of a respiratory condition.

Treatment will involve a short hospital stay and weeks of bed rest at home. Gregg bounced back from a liver transplant last year with his first solo album in 14 years, the critically acclaimed Low Country Blues.

Just last month, with help from surprise guests David Crosby, Graham Nash, Phil Lesh, Natalie Cole and Billy Gibbons, Gregg and the Allmans set the Beacon on fire with the 3 hour Hep C show that Rolling Stone magazine called “pure joy, the kind of thing that could’ve happened 40 years ago.”

Read the magazines rapturous review and check out video from the show here.
