No sooner had John Mellencamp announced his split from wife number 3, former Victoria's secret model Elaine Irwin when rumors began that he left her for actress Meg Ryan. According to a report from Fox News Ryan and Mellencamp were seen together "walking arm in arm" in New York City back in October.

The two have been seen in various locations even more recently, and she has attended at least a couple of Mellencamp's most recent concerts.

An insider at People magazine asserts that the romantic link between Meg and John only started about seven weeks ago confirming that the duo only started to date after John and Elaine separated. Mellencamp and Irwin were married for 20 years, and she's the wife that nursed him back to health after his heart attack in the 90s.

Ryan was married to actor Dennis Quaid and had a short lived relationship with actor Russell Crowe.
