Mick Jagger's New Band is Super Heavy

By Donna Donna

No, really...that's the name of Mick's new group and all the players are names you know. The band includes guitarist/producer Dave Stewart  of Eurythmics fame, Damian Marley, youngest son of the late Bob Marley, the super-successful British soul singer and songwriter Joss Stone, and Oscar-winning (Slumdog Millionaire) Indian musician/producer A.R. Rahman. According to sources, the group has been working together for the past 18 months, they've completed recording of a new album and video, and are currently shopping for a record label. The question is, is Mick through with the Stones or is this just a solo project?

It's no secret that Keith Richards pulled no punches talking about Mick in his recent autobiography "Life." In case you missed it , Keith described Mick as  an "unbearable" narcissist, an even went so far as to ridicule the size of Jagger's manhood, which he termed "tiny." Mick and Keith have had an uneasy relationship for many years now, but it's never stopped The Stones from making music. Let's hope it doesn't stop them now with many of us looking forward to a Stones tour in 2012 to celebrate the bands 50th anniversary.
