If you never ever want to read another article about say Charlie Sheen, or Lindsay Lohan or Lady Gaga, now there's an app for that! It’s called "Silence of the Celebs," and it lets you filter out all mentions of the annoying celebrity of your choice from online news sources just by entering their names.

According to the New York Daily News, the app was created  by web design studio Gesture Theory. The company's creative director Michael Surtees, told the Daily News "We were on news sites and one of us said, 'Why are we still seeing all this stuff about Charlie Sheen? Who cares? This has got to stop,"

The app makes headlines that contain user-selected keywords disappear. So far, the program only works on websites for some select news organizations, as well as on Twitter. A beta version of the app that will work on all outlets is in development. Company developer Roy Yang says the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Yang said "It's a service that people are very interested in…a lot of people are saying thank you."
