Can Long Island Reach a Million Pounds of Food Again This Year?

By Donna Donna

National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Saturday, May 14thThis Saturday (5/14) residents of more than 10,000 cities and towns across the USA will help feed the hungry in the 19th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

All you have to do to help is fill a bag with non perishable food items and leave the bag at your mailbox Saturday.

Your letter carrier will pick it up when they deliver your mail. Recent Department of Agriculture statistics show that 50 million Americans live in homes without sufficient food, and 17 million of them are children.

Please help. All the food you donate stays right here on Long Island to help our hungry friends and neighbors. Click here for more details.
