CHEAP TRICK TO OPEN MUSEUM, MUSIC VENUE IN CHICAGO

By Donna Donna

Cheap Trick hail from Rockford, Illinois, the state’s third biggest city. It’s biggest city, of course, is Chicago, another town the band loves. In fact, they’ve just announced plans to create a museum and music venue there. The group’s manager described the plans to the Chicago Sun-Times, saying that it will be “a one-of-a-kind eatery, unique musical instrument museum, radio station and performance space as well as outdoor and event space in the future Music Row in Chicago.” Some of guitarist Rick Nielsen’s 250 guitars as well as Bun E. Carlos’ rare drums, will be on display in the museum. The band hopes to have the project put together by next year. Read more at SunTimes.com.
