JEFF BECK AND ROBERT PLANT TO COLLABORATE?

Jeff Beck might be working on a very exciting collaboration with none other than Robert Plant.  The guitar legend told PlanetRock.com that he met the Led Zeppelin singer at the New Orleans JazzFest where he said they “had a lovely chat,” adding that “there might be something there.  Who knows?”  Jeff explained they’re both into the Eastern and Arabic sound which is prevalent in Zeppelin’s music.  He went on to say, “We’re both pretty busy at the moment but if the desire’s there, you make it happen.”  Time will tell if they do.

STONES TO RELEASE DELUXE EDITION OF SOME GIRLS

There’s no word yet if The Rolling Stones will mark their 50th anniversary next year but one thing that is definitely happening is a deluxe re-issue of their classic 1978 album, Some Girls.  Mick Jagger revealed to Spinner.com that, much like they did last year with Exile on Main Street, there will be an extra disc of material filled with outtakes along with the remastered album.  It’s due out around Thanksgiving.  As for those 50th anniversary celebrations, Jagger would only say they are discussing it.
