Summer goes by way too fast!

It’s time to get in our last licks and maybe time to go beyond the neighborhood and explore some of the ice-cream shops Long Islanders rave about on Yelp. 
 
The Hollow Creamery, Carle Place: Bill S says “These are really good people making really great home made ice cream in small batches with the best ingredients. I tried to tell them that they should charge more money for this amazing ice cream but they didn't listen.”

Coyle's, Bayshore: Quite a few Yelpers discovered Coyle’s on their way home from Robert Moses. Justin F recommends the Bailey's and Cake Batter flavors and says, "Everyone I bring here has come to the conclusion that this place serves the best ice cream and I totally agree." 
 
Krisch's, Massapequa: Christopher S recommends the "Massapequa Special – two scoops of ice cream, marshmallow sauce, hot fudge, and homemade whip cream scooped right from the mixing bowl."

In the Mood, Woodbury: Tracy K says, "flavors like pear and peach wine are constantly made on premises. This ordinary looking little store is doing what no other places are doing." 
 
Five Pennies Creamery, Rockville Center: Wolf G says the Curious George flavor here is "sweet, with undertones of bananas, cinnamon, and caramel." 
 
Magic Fountain, Mattituck: Jeff G says “The s'mores and hazelnut biscotti flavors…were absolutely unreal. These flavors are well fleshed-out and not somebody's off-and-on experimentation.”
 
Snowflake, Riverhead: Nicole C says the ice cream here is "ultra rich, smooth, and creamy – it's easy to see why this place is always buzzing with locals and visitors alike."
 
Marvel, Long Beach: Chris T calls Marvel a "magical place" and recommends the "strawberry ice cream in a waffle cone covered in toasted coconut." 
 
Marshall's, Massapequa: Jennifer V says Marshall’s “has the formula for success down: generous servings + friendly staff + great selection = paradise for ice cream lovers."
