Washington is the first state in the nation to legalize marijuana.
It is now legal in Washington for adults to possess and use up to one ounce of marijuana and advocats celebrated last night by gathering together to light up outside the famous Seattle Space Needle tower with pipes, bongs and hand-rolled joints.
Ironically however that action is still illegal! The new law forbids users from lighting up outside the privacy of their homes.
And while it's legal to possess and use pot, it is still illegal to buy it!
