CBGBs Lives!! By Donna Donna
The 4 day CBGB Festival kicks off today (7/5) and features more than 300 bands at 40 venues throughout NYC, as well as rock film premieres and screenings, music business conferences and industry panel discussions and even an artisanal spirits (whiskey) fest!
The highlight of the fest will be a FREE, multi-stage event in Times Square on Saturday (7/7) featuring The Hold Steady, Duff McKagan’s Loaded, Superchunk, Clap your Hands Say Yeah, and more.
The outdoor Times Square show will also have food, drinks, music shop booths, and music themed activities for people of all ages. Then, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., the festival will join up with Summerstage in Central Park for a show by the reunited Guided By Voices, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, and more.
