Roger Waters’ The Wall at Yankee Stadium Bigger than a Jeter Home Run! By Donna Donna
Roger Waters brings the new expanded version of Pink Floyd’s The Wall to Yankee Stadium tonight and tomorrow. When Floyd debuted The Wall show in 1980 the production set a new standard for rock spectacle.
The latest outdoor version of the show is even larger than last year’s shows at MSG and the Nassau Coliseum! And Waters has updated the themes of the original The Wall to include antiwar messages, and statements recalling current events.
In an intriguing interview with the New York Times during a tour stop in Atlanta, Waters talks about his relationships with the other members of Pink Floyd, the possibility of a reunion and even admits he was wrong when he sued the band over the use of the Pink Floyd name!
He also talks about his plans for a new album.
