Seinfeld Returns on Thursday Nights

By Donna Donna

For those of us that think the original Seinfeld is still funnier than 99% of the sitcoms on TV today, the news is good!

Jerry Seinfeld has announced he will be doing a special NYC five borough stand-up tour this fall. In a statement Seinfeld said, "I was born in Brooklyn, went to school in Queens and started out as a comedian in Manhattan…I feel like New York City taught me how to be funny. I'm so excited to perform a special series of shows for my beloved home town."

In a nod to his TV show, all the performances will be on Thursday nights! And much as we’d love to see Kramer, George and Elaine on the bill we’ll have to settle for comedian Colin Quinn opening up the show.

Tickets go on sale Monday (7/30) Here’s the sked:

Manhattan: Oct. 4 at the Beacon Theatre. BeaconTheatre.com. (866) 858-0008.

The Bronx: Oct. 11 at Lehman Concert Hall. LehmanCenter.org. (718) 960-8833.

Queens: Oct. 18 at the Colden Auditorium at Queens College. KupferbergCenter.org. (718) 793-8080.

Staten Island: Nov. 1 at the St. George Theatre. TicketMaster.com. (718) 442-2900.

Brooklyn: Nov. 8 at the Walt Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College. BrooklynCenter.com. (718) 951-4500.

Now the question is: Is it a bro or a manzier?
