This fall Peter Gabriel will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his iconic album, “So” with CD reissues and a tour (was it really 25 years ago that we saw the Sledgehammer video for the first time?).

On the “Back to Front” tour Peter will perform all of “So” and of course he’ll also play some of his other classic hits as well.  The 13-date tour brings Gabriel to the Nikon Jones Beach Theater on September 23rd.  

To coincide with the tour, “So” will be re-issued on September 18th as a CD, a special edition 3-CD set, and a Super Deluxe Box Set.  “So” debuted at the top of the music charts around the world, sold 5-times platinum and became a seminal album of the 1980’s. 

In addition to “Sledgehammer,” “So” features hits “Big Time,” “Red Rain,” the haunting duet “Don’t Give Up” with Kate Bush, and one of the greatest love songs of all time “In Your Eyes.” 

The songs were also part of the emerging video revolution and the groundbreaking “Sledgehammer” video remains the most played video of all time on MTV.
