The Who's Pete Townshend's new memoir Who I Am comes out on Thursday (10/11), and Pete was in NYC yesterday promoting the book. In an interview on the Today show he revealed that "writing lyrics for The Who made him realize he needed to undergo therapy," and "that some of the dark songs he'd written for the band had helped him come to terms with the abuse he suffered as a child."
Watch the interview here.
Then Pete stopped by The View for a candid chat with Barbara Walters and company and in a somewhat surreal moment teaches Elizabeth Hasselbeck how to perform his signature Windmill move!
Check it out here.
And finally Pete sat down for some laughs with John Stewart on The Daily Show. Watch the extended version of that interview here and here.
