New Rolling Stones! Listen and Watch. By Donna Donna
The first new Stones track in seven years arrived this morning.
It's called 'Doom and Gloom' and it harkens back to their late 60s early 70's 'Exile on Main Street' era sound.
But the lyrics are strictly 21st century, capturing the hopelessness that one can lapse into when paying too close attention to the relentless drum beat of bad news in the media.
While the track sounds very old school Stones, it's not a hit single. But it's still good to have a new Stones song.
Hard core fans will want to check out the reviews in NME, and the British tabloid the Telegraph.
