LAS VEGAS - AUGUST 26: Kiss singer/bassist Gene Simmons poses at a news conference for the second annual Vegas Rock Star Poker Tournament and Sweepstakes at the Palms Casino Resort August 26, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sweepstakes winners and their guests will get to play poker side-by-side with Simmons along with musicians Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Jerry Cantrell and Dave Navarro. According to U.K. newspaper The Sun, Kiss' Gene Simmons claims that in 2009 he was "given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert and trying to convince them to get back together."

Hennemusic.com reports "Simmons was told to use his connections with the band to get them back together following the December 2007 reunion show at London’s 02 Arena."

But, as Gene says “Of course, it didn’t work. Robert just doesn’t want to do it.”

I wonder what was more disappointing for Gene, that Zeppelin wouldn't reunite or that he wouldn't get a cut of the millions as commission for getting the job done? Read more.
