According to U.K. newspaper The Sun, Kiss' Gene Simmons claims that in 2009 he was "given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert and trying to convince them to get back together."
Hennemusic.com reports "Simmons was told to use his connections with the band to get them back together following the December 2007 reunion show at London’s 02 Arena."
But, as Gene says “Of course, it didn’t work. Robert just doesn’t want to do it.”
