A trip to the Village wasn't complete without a stop at Bleecker Bob's, but after 45 years, this legendary record shop closed it's doors for good Saturday, another Greenwich Village victim of rising rent and declining sales. Back in the day when the glam and punk scene was exploding in New York City, you knew you'd always find the latest from all the new bands at Bob's.
You could spend hours browsing the racks and emerge with an armful of vinyl that you couldn't wait to get home and play. Thanks for the memories Bob and crew! A yogurt shop will open in the space in June.
