Last week Brett Favre turned down a chance to play in the NFL again because of memory loss. Now Cowboy great Tony Dorsett has been diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease.
It's getting harder to ignore that the sport we love to spend all day Sundays watching, is destroying the lives of so many of it's players. Can we still enjoy the hard hits and spectacular plays knowing that men will pay for our fun with their lives? I'll admit, I still watch, but the traumatic brain issue is not far from my mind as I do.
