Bruce Springsteen, Roger Waters, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart and 'special guests' will perform at this year's Stand Up for Heroes benefit at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on November 6th. The Bob Woodruff Foundation presents the show each year to benefit their efforts to help wounded service members, veterans and their families, as part of the NY Comedy Festival.
Tickets for this show start at $250 and go up to $2500 (it is a benefit after all) and yes, a portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. Too rich for your blood? Although it's not stated anywhere, I'm hoping that this year, like last, we'll be able to watch a live stream of the show, and we can still support the cause in a small and simple way by texting BWF to 50555 to make a $10 donation. Buy tickets here.
For last year's show Roger Waters put together a group of wounded military personnel from the MusiCorps program that’s based at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to join him in performing "Wish You Were Here," "Knocking on Heaven's Door," and more. You can watch the entire 2012 show below.
John Mayer's performance begins 34 minutes in, Roger Waters at 39 minutes, and Bruce Springsteen at one hour 31 minutes.
