About 7  months ago  our promotion guy Jason and Terry from Mather Hospital and I were talking about ways to ramp up donations for our annual Sticky Finger Twilight  motorcycle run. Which is happening on July 17^th this year.

 ….This run benefits the Fortunado Breast Health Center at Mather. Being such a rampant and insidious disease and having watched my mother in-law suffer through it I am compelled to do just about anything I can to help shine a light and raise funds…..

The conversation took a turn to how easy it is for strippers to get people to part with money.  I made an offhand comment to the effect of “if I have to put on a bra and get it stuffed with cash damn it I’ll do it ha-ha” I must tell you Terry is a doer and you have to be careful what you say around her. Because here I am at Blum’s getting sized for a bra and heading out on a bra crawl in Patchogue & Blue Point.  See pictures and video here!

In my almost 30 years here this is the craziest thing I have ever done. The looks of WTF? and wonder, as well as the smiles and appreciation of those patrons at the venues listed below was as entertaining and touching for me as it was for them. There was the “Is this legit?” comment and the “I just lost someone to breast cancer , Thank You” as they put money in my bra. Then there was the oh crap I just walked into a gay bar with a bra on moment.

All in all it was an amazingly fun and fulfilling night. I want to thank all of the owners and managers of these establishments as well as the people who coughed up the cash to make my 40H cups runneth over with $1351.00 God Bless you all. Also thanks to the BAB street team Don Ho, Mike Powers Ally and Kim for having my back all night. Enjoy the pictures.
