Jim Marshall dies at 88; creator of famed rock 'n' roll amplifiers By Fingers
With the passing of Marshall Amplifiers founder Jim Marshall comes a flood of sorrow from the music community.
He supplied the weapon of choice for Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton and countless others. He is the man responsible for us hearing and feeling every note that came out of those amps and caused us joy and hearing loss.
The unmistakable sound is familiar to many and the logo is simply iconic. A sad day in music but his work will continue to give us that loud and proud sound forever. I found this BBC video that I think you will enjoy.
