Being employed at WBAB for 30 years has afforded me many pleasures. Meeting many wonderful Long Islanders and rock stars, getting into places and areas I never could, drunken escapades and the like.

I would be lying if I said it wasn’t fun as a matter of fact it was so much fun I would have done it for free. But don’t tell the suits that, lol. I have, as I said, met many rock and rollers and some stand out.

One of those is Doug Gray of The Marshall Tucker Band. Since they are playing my 30th Anniversary Bash I had a chat with Doug about the bands history and recent loss of guitarist Stuart Swanlund.

Always a humble and warm man I encourage you to listen in to our short chat ahead of their September 2nd show at the NYCB Theater at Westbury.
