If you’ve tuned in to CBS recently, you might have seen Ozzy Osbourne, but the Prince of Darkness isn’t singing on the network – he’s giving away a free colonoscopy.  The rocker and his wife, Sharon, have teamed up with New York – Presbyterian Hospital for a public service initiative to raise awareness for colon cancer. 

Sharon is a colon cancer survivor because a colonoscopy saved her life.  She wants to help others so she and Ozzy will give one lucky winner a four-day, three-night trip to New York City with airfare and hotel accommodations, plus five-hundred dollars cash and, of course, a free colonoscopy.

In an explanation, the colonoscopy procedure is described: “As the colonoscopy begins, you will be given a drug that will make you feel like you’re at an early ‘70s Black Sabbath concert – but without the music.  If the doctor starts to look like Ozzy, please report the side effect to him or the Prince of Darkness – whomever you see first.”
