Our friends at Ski’s Open Heart Foundation and the US Vets Motorcycle Club will be collecting donations to send down to Louisiana to the Victims affected by Hurricane Isaac.
They have trucks set up to accept supplies and donations this week.
We are asking that you contact your friends, co-workers, neighbors, family members, and everyone you know and begin to collect much needed items, including bottled water, non-perishable food, toiletries, clothing and more.

As Americans we enjoy many liberties and freedoms. Those rights come along with certain obligations.
Interestingly helping each other is not one of them. That comes from a deeper core human element that seeps into the community from within.
As Long Islanders we have always collectively responded to the call for help. Whether it’s a family down the block or a community on the other side of the globe we stand together to help.
That time is now for the people of Louisiana affected by Hurricane Isaac. My friend helicopter Mike has gone down ahead and is assisting with rescue and recovery as well as assessing the needs.
Please try to help. Whether it’s an item, a check or a prayer everything helps. Thank you. -Fingers
