I love creating emotive properties with words, music and pictures. I have since I’m a kid with my mission impossible style reel to reel tape recorder and my stereo and cameras. I took photography in school and learned audio in school and on the road. As a matter of fact I made the intro to Fingers Metal Shop in my bedroom with a cassette recorder an 8 track and a turntable.
These days I have been taking some classes in Apples video editing program Final Cut X. I started in Final Cut 7 but switched when they did. I like it better. Anyway that being said I needed some raw footage to use while learning.
Last summer I had let the back lawn grow to about two feet. I cut a maze in it for the kids before finally cutting it normal. But before that, my youngest Julia and I spent a couple of hours playing in the tall grass and we shot some goofy video footage of us pretending to be twins and well it’s ridiculous but we had fun. Well I used that footage to practice with and I figured what the heck I’ll share it with you.
Please understand this is less of a movie and more of an exercise to learn the program.
Florida based prog metal outfit Mindcage have been at it for quite some some. Tune in as I chat with new singer Jeff Hignite about the new album Our "Own Devices" as well as the Kiss RRHOF soap opera, music from the album and more.
