The History of The Eagles

Previous Posts

By Joe Rock

So many people have seen "The History of The Eagles" on Showtime when it premiered February 15th and 16th. If you haven't seen it yet check their schedule to find out when it will be playing again.

It is a great look behind the curtain at one of the biggest band of the '70's.

The film gives time to all the members of the band past and present in current interviews. In fact Don Henley has acknowledged in an interview that one former member of the band will return for their tour named after the film.

A tour that Henley says could be The Eagles final tour. Don says they will go back to their roots in the show and work it all the way up to where the band is today.

For those who've seen the film you can guess that the former member of the band returning for this tour will not be Don Felder. The film shows his emotional reaction to his most recent parting with the band.

There is also audio from their final show in 1980 where you can hear an exchange between Felder and Fry on stage that nearly resulted in violence. Plus Don Felder also wrote a book about his experience in The Eagles and it is none to flattering for some members.

With what could be The Eagles final tour coming up, will you go to a show ? Which former Eagle do you think is returning ? If you've seen the film has your opinion on any of the members changed ?

One former member will return for the tour. Who do you think it is ? Find out who it isn't here.
