Johnny Ramones widow Linda is in discussions for making a Ramones biopic. Right now she isn’t sure what the basis for the film will be.

For so many years Joey and Johnny never spoke to each other so what direction the film takes is anybody’s guess. There is even the possibility that it could follow Johnny’s autobiography “Commando” which was published last year. 

One actor’s name that has been mentioned in connection with the movie is Johnny Depp. Though they aren’t sure he is young enough to play the part of Johnny for the time period they believe they will concentrate on.

Depp did have a connection to The Ramones though having been friends with Johnny and even having his band open for The Ramones years and years ago.
