While those lame-brains at the Rock and Roll Hall of Lame debate the merits of LL Cool J, Donna Summer and Chic, they still criminally overlook far more deserving bands.

Now I usually reserve my vitriol for Rush, but another band who deserves to be in is Motorhead.

And no one person embodies the unapologetically hedonistic side of rock and roll better than Lemmy.

You always know what you get with Lemmy. He could care less about trends or reinventing his sound for newer generations! If bands like AC/DC take a meat-and-potatoes approach to their rock, Lemmy is the bottle of Jack Daniels you wash it down with.

I didn’t fully realize his popularity until I saw Motorhead at last year’s Gigantour. The second the road crew began setting up for their set, the whole venue began chanting ‘Lemmy!’ and did not let up until they came on stage some 20 minutes later. To this day, Motorhead are the loudest band I’ve heard live.

Lemmy would introduce some much needed testicles to the RNRHOL.
