This week I turn the big 4-0 and am happy to share that birthday with two of our most important rock and roll bands, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company.
Paul Rodgers and crew dropped by Leno recently to celebrate. Hard to believe it was their first time ever on U.S. TV. They sounded great and Rodgers re-affirmed his status as one of rock’s greatest singers.
They are also hitting the road for a 40th anniversary tour with the boys in Skynyrd that runs through the end of next month. Bad Company, of course, forming in ’73 while Skynyrd released one of the most legendary debut discs that year, "Pronounced Leh-nérd Skin-nérd".
