Rock Classics Thrashified By Pete Rizzo
Cover tunes usually fall far short of the glory for me. There are exceptions, though. And I’m keeping my fingers tightly crossed that Anthrax is one of them.
They have a new disc out on Tuesday called Anthems, which contains covers of some serious rock royalty. Psyched as I am to hear what they do with classics like AC/DC’s ‘TNT’ and ‘Smokin’ by Boston, the one I'm really aching for is their thrash-tastic version of Rush’s classic ANTHEM.

Here’s the original, which still rocks the house almost 40 years after it came out. Given the Anthrax treatment and it may just bring my ears to complete ear-gasm!
