1 Year Anniversary of Islanders Failed “Vote Yes Referendum” By Ted Lindner
Yes August 1st marked the 1 year anniversary of the Islanders failed attempt to get Nassau County to borrow some money for a new Nassau Coliseum to try and keep the Islanders here past 2015.
If the Islanders do leave, I know I did all I could as a die hard Islanders van to “get out the vote” last year, including recruiting people in Nassau County young and old, of all different races and religions, including my friend Jose who is one of the gardeners where I live at Del Boca Vista in Wantagh.
Jose was kind enough to pose for a shot while working the other day to remind everyone of my hard work. Hopefully his hard work will not go unrewarded, somewhere down the line. Here’s to a great 2012-2013 season.
