Back in my single days when I lived in Queens, the “pilgrimage” to King Yum, my legendary Chinese Karaoke Bar and restaurant in Queens was a weekly, and some weeks, a nightly thing. 

I’d be at the bar sitting with the likes of “Warehouse John,” 85 year old “Doctor Saul”, Johnny the Bartender, Eric from Merrick, Sam the process server, and John Rossi the “chairman of the bar”……. 

These days, getting ready to be married and living on Long Island, the trips to King Yum have become a little less frequent.   So when we make a night of it at King Yum, we make it a big one!! 

Like tonight for example.  It won't only be about me and the regulars drinking and singing, for tonight we will also be celebrating producer Wolfie’s 42nd birthday at King Yum, and man do we have a star studded lineup ready to go!!!  Roger might even show up!  We are going to blow the roof off the place, and are expecting about 15-20 people.

The festivities begin tonight at 7pm and go into the night!
