Alexa was selected as this week’s First Responder Friday nominee. “Alexa Crimaudo is a current proud member of the First Precinct in Nassau County. Her journey began in 2018 when she became a Police Officer with NYPD and was assigned to the 105 Pct. After 3 plus years in the city she was hired by the Nassau County Police Department. In 2021 she came to Nassau and was assigned to the first precinct where she currently still works. Alexa was diagnosed in July of 2024 with stage 2 classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She underwent IVF and started 8 rounds of chemotherapy in August of 2024.She was in remission as of December 17th 2024 and is back to work in her precinct. As a testament to her strength and commitment she was the Nassau PBA 2024 Perseverance award winner and her courage and resolve is an inspiration to all the Officers who work with her and know her. ”
