Aneeq Raja was nominated by his girlfriend Samantha who said, “My boyfriend Aneeq Raja is an active police officer with the NYPD. He is a first generation police officer who grew up with a single mother. He looked up to police officers as his role models growing up. He joined his brothers footsteps in 2023. He always told me growing up seeing the NYPD in media and the word “the finest” resonated with him to be a part of the change and give back by serving. He truly lives the motto “if you love what you do for work you will never think of it as work.” He loves to interact with the youth in the areas he serves and just provide a friendly smile and give advice to kids who are in the same position he used to be. All of his childhood scrapbooks he envisioned himself as a police officer and he now is living his dream. He deserves it.”
