Anthony Lisske | Honoree for February 3rd, 2023

Anthony was nominated by his brother, Andrew Lisske, who said “My brother is a super unassuming guy. I did not realize this until my 21 year old daughter saw a picture of him on 9/11 in the rubble. She asked why is there a picture of uncle Anthony at ground zero? He had never bought it up in 21 years. He has served as a first responder when he was younger and has managed emergency preparedness for hospitals in NYC all his life. He was at the towers when the second tower fell. He served as incident commander responsible for evacuation of a lower Manhattan hospital during Hurricane Sandy. He lived at the hospital for weeks during the first Covid outbreak. He has sacrificed a great deal being a first responder and seeks no recognition. Would be great to see him recognized on WBAB.”

Anthony, thanks for all you do for the community. As a way of saying thanks, you will receive a $100 gift card for Moe’s Southwest Grill.
