Bagpipe’s Rock! Just ask Europe and this amazing cover version of their “Final Countdown”

The coronavirus pandemic lockdown has given us some pretty amazing covers and “socially distanced” versions of some classic hits. The latest is a cover of Europe’s “The Final Countdown” and it may be the most unique and most satisfying to date.

A bagpiper from New Deli named Archy J. (The Snake Charmer) gathered some of her bagpiping friends and other musicians from around the world to create a Celtic inspired cover of the metal classic.

Here’s the video for “The Final Countdown.” Though, I’m little bummed there’s no kilts to be found.

Released in 1986, the original version by Europe gave the Swedish band at Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in America. They followed that with the hit “Carrie.” You can see the video for that below.
