Goofy as the Holy Triumvirate often are, sometimes the humor doesn’t translate.
Case in point: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony of 2013 in which Geddy, Alex and Neil were enshrined. While Neil’s speech was eloquent [as usual] and Geddy’s was earnest [as usual], Alex was an unfiltered goofball [as usual].
While many, myself included, found his speech fittingly hilarious, Geddy and Alex didn’t take to it, at least not right away. It was only a day later that Neil found his speech, if you will, “Closer to the Heart”.
