Brian was nominated by his future son in law Joseph who said, “I would suggest my future-father-in-law Brian McNulty. He is a lieutenant with East Farmingdale Fire Company and he has been for many years. He is also a physician with Northwell Health, and is a former NYPD officer who retired after being harmed in the line of duty. It seems like Brian is always ready to respond to emergencies with his fire department beeper on hand. My fiancée has regaled me in the stories of Brian merely waiting in line at grocery store when a customer began to have a life threatening situation. Brian and his wife Barbara didn’t hesitate for a moment to jump into action. Stories of neighbors knocking on Brian’s front door to ask for help with their sick family member or infant are regularly shared even to this day. Brian is one of the most selfless and caring individuals I have ever met and is unequivocally the first person who comes to my mind for a recognition called ‘First Responder Friday.’”
