As part of a collaboration with Epiphone on a signature guitar, Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has released his first new music in nearly a decade.

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has released his first music in almost a decade.

It is in the form of two instrumental numbers, “Kabul Blues” and “Spy House”.

It all began with the Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Paul Standard Axcess electric guitar.

According to Blabbermouth Lifeson says of the guitar “The introduction of the Epiphone Alex Lifeson Axcess model based on my Gibson Les Paul Axcess model has all the same attributes and characteristics that I desired so much when we originally designed it, The look, the sound, the playability and the utility — it’s all there for the player at any level. I’m very proud of this guitar.”

To celebrate his collaboration with Epiphone and the release of the new Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Paul Standard Axcess guitar, Alex is proud to debut the two brand new songs.
