Cosmik Coliseum Debris

Frank Zappa said “Yippy-Ty-O-Ty-Ay” to the US with one final show right here on Long Island.

Before he spent his last years immersed in composing classical music, the legendary Zappa played the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY back in March of 1988.

The show was Zappa at his eclectic best as he peppered his set with classics like Inca Roads, The Torture Never Stops and Sharleena alongside Mothers of Invention mainstays like I Ain’t Got No Heart and Who Needs the Peace Corps? while sprinkling in covers ranging from Led Zeppelin to Maurice Eavel before closing the show with America The Beautiful.

That show in its entirety is now coming out in June.
